Hello, My name is Jeremiah Liend, and I’m running as an independent candidate for Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District. Why independent? Because I don’t like being told what I can and cannot say. Because the truth should not depend on our party. Because at this point in history we must unite around truth or collapse into falsehoods. And because this campaign isn’t conventional and thus unlikely to be supported by either party. I’m a very busy person. I work multiple jobs while also helping to raise the next generation of swashbuckling adventurers. When not working or helping with our family, I harass the Pulitzer Prize for Drama board through playwriting. This leaves me very little time to run a traditional campaign for Congress. Even if I had that “retired insurance agent” free time, the electoral system is still fundamentally broken and leveraged against families and working people.
